OUR PURPOSE
Why We Exist
Undefinable and Expansive exists to help people remember, experience, and live from the truth that all existence is already one.
Our purpose is not to create another narrow religious boundary, another system of exclusion, or another place where people must abandon their own spiritual language in order to belong. Our purpose is to provide a living sanctuary for discovery: a place where people of all religions, all beliefs, all sincere questions, and all levels of spiritual experience may come together to recognize the Divine Reality within themselves and throughout all existence.
As Omnitheists, we understand that truth is not limited to one path, one name, one scripture, one tradition, or one form of worship. The Creed describes this by recognizing that all religions, spiritual paths, and even those who claim no religion can each hold meaningful expressions of what is real. Rather than asking anyone merely to believe, we invite each person into direct, living experience. (uecreed.org)
Our purpose is to cultivate that experience.
We are here to help people move from inherited belief into personal realization, from separation into unity, from fear into willingness, from spiritual confusion into inner recognition, and from passive belief into the active discovery of “God” within all existence.
A Purpose Rooted in Unity
The foundation of our purpose is unity.
The fundamentals of the Creed identify unity as the most basic principle beneath the statutes: a non-dual reality, a lack of true separation, and an oneness that includes infinite variations of perspective, dimension, personhood, and experience. (undefinableandexpansive.org)
This means our organization exists to help people recognize that difference does not have to mean division. Religions may differ. Cultures may differ. Practices may differ. People may use different words, symbols, rituals, and philosophies. Yet beneath these differences, there is one essence expressing through many forms.
Our purpose is not to erase diversity. It is to reveal the unity within diversity.
We exist to help people recognize that every person, every tradition, every sincere search, and every honest question may be part of a greater unfolding. We are not here to reduce all beliefs into sameness. We are here to help people see that even contrast, complexity, and disagreement can be held within a greater wholeness.
This is why we call ourselves Undefinable and Expansive. The Divine cannot be contained by one definition, and the spiritual journey cannot be limited to one approved expression.
A Purpose Rooted in Direct Experience
We believe spiritual truth is meant to be experienced, not merely repeated.
A person can read about “God,” speak about “God,” argue about “God,” worship “God,” reject “God,” or wonder about “God,” but our purpose is to help people go deeper than concepts. We support the movement from secondhand belief into firsthand recognition.
The Creed’s introductory material teaches that this ancient wisdom is the core essence within the depth of all religions and is recognized through personal revelation. It also explains that no physical person can express more than another is able to understand and retain at the time, and that purification of inhibitions, beliefs, and misunderstandings through forgiveness and meditation allows this truth to be experienced as all-encompassing. (undefinableandexpansive.org)
Because of this, our purpose is patient, compassionate, and practical.
We do not demand that people pretend to understand what they have not yet experienced. We do not require people to force themselves into spiritual language that feels unnatural. We do not insist that doubt is the enemy. Instead, we create opportunities for sincere practice, honest reflection, meditation, forgiveness, discussion, devotion, study, creative expression, and community participation.
We exist to help people become ready for the truth already within them.
A Purpose Rooted in the Living Presence of “God”
Our organization exists to point beyond limited ideas of “God.”
The first statute recognizes “God” as the undefinable, unfathomable, and unnameable source of all beginnings, continuations, and conclusions, encompassing all spiritual, physical, and mental realms within every perspective, experience, universe, and dimension. (undefinableandexpansive.org) It also states that “God” is not male or female, not a partial image, and not limited to any body or separate form, but all existence itself. (undefinableandexpansive.org)
This is essential to our purpose.
We exist because many people have been taught to seek “God” as if It were far away, separate, judgmental, culturally owned, or available only through one approved doorway. We offer another recognition: “God” is not absent from life. “God” is the reality of life itself.
The first statute further clarifies that “God” can never leave any aspect of existence and can be evident in and throughout it all; Its Spirit can only seem absent from awareness. (undefinableandexpansive.org)
Therefore, our purpose is to help people remove the seeming absence.
We are here to help people recognize the closeness of the Divine, the intimacy of existence, and the truth that the life within them is not separate from the Source they seek.
A Purpose Rooted in Personal Design
We believe every person has purpose.
The fundamentals state that everyone is perfectly designed to fulfill a purpose within the experience of reality, emphasizing that each person is the way they are for a reason and desires what they do because of the story they are designed to fulfill. (undefinableandexpansive.org) The statutes also recognize that each person is designed to fulfill a purpose and function, and that happiness comes through alignment with that purpose and function in life.
Our purpose as an organization is to help people discover and live that purpose more consciously.
We do not view people as mistakes to be corrected. We do not view uniqueness as a problem. We do not believe spiritual growth requires the destruction of individuality, but the clarification of what individuality is truly for. Each person’s life, interests, questions, challenges, wounds, gifts, and longings may become part of the path of awakening.
We exist to help people ask:
Why am I drawn to what I am drawn to?
What is life trying to reveal through me?
How is “God” guiding from within my own experience?
What am I here to express, heal, learn, offer, or remember?
How can my life become more aligned with unity, love, awareness, and purpose?
Our purpose is to help people see that their existence is meaningful, their inner guidance matters, and their spiritual development is not accidental.
A Purpose Rooted in Growth and Expansion
We exist to support the natural movement of consciousness toward growth.
The fundamentals describe each person as designed to move through stages and dimensions, exploring, learning, and progressing toward awareness of the unified essence. (undefinableandexpansive.org) The statutes also recognize that everyone has an inner drive to learn and grow because exploration and expansion are part of our function.
This means our organization exists to nourish spiritual curiosity.
We are here for the person who is beginning to ask questions.
We are here for the person who has outgrown old answers.
We are here for the person who loves their tradition but senses there is more depth within it.
We are here for the person who has left religion but still feels drawn to truth, meaning, consciousness, energy, love, or the mystery of existence.
We are here for the person who is ready to explore beyond inherited limitation.
Our purpose is to make spiritual growth accessible through community, lessons, meditation, ritual, study, celebration, creativity, and direct practice. We do not believe growth is limited to a classroom, service, book, or ceremony. Growth can occur through every relationship, every challenge, every question, every joy, every failure, every act of forgiveness, and every willingness to see differently.
A Purpose Rooted in Community
Spiritual awakening may be deeply personal, but it is not meant to remain isolated.
The statutes recognize that we need one another and can support one another on our personal journeys by collaborating together in common goals. This gives our organization a clear communal purpose: to create places of gathering where people can be witnessed, supported, encouraged, challenged, inspired, and included.
Community allows unity to become practice.
It is one thing to say that all are one. It is another to sit with different people, different beliefs, different backgrounds, different needs, different wounds, and different perspectives, and still choose love. Community gives us the living laboratory of spiritual realization.
Our purpose is to cultivate spiritual community where people can safely explore truth, share experience, ask questions, celebrate life, practice devotion, offer service, and remember that they are not alone.
We gather not because “God” is only in one room, but because joining helps reveal what isolation hides.
A Purpose Rooted in Love and Relationship
We exist to help people understand love as joining.
The statutes recognize that “Love” is more than a temporary emotion; it is a joining of the “Son” and “God” in any form. They also recognize every relationship as a microcosm of the total relationship between the universe and the perception of it.
This means our purpose is relational.
We are here to help people see every relationship as an opportunity for recognition. Family, friendship, partnership, community, conflict, service, grief, creativity, and even misunderstanding can become part of the spiritual path. When we meet another person, we are not merely meeting a separate body with separate opinions. We are meeting another expression of the same Reality, asking to be recognized beyond the surface.
Our purpose is to help love become more than sentiment. Love becomes a practice of seeing, listening, forgiving, including, joining, and remembering.
A Purpose Rooted in Revelation
We exist to encourage revelation, inspiration, and inner guidance.
The statutes recognize that the spiritual universe should not only be believed in, but experienced, and that this experience leads toward recollection of the existence of “God.” They also recognize inspiration as a choice to look to the guidance of the Wholly Spiritual Universe, rather than something that occurs randomly.
Our purpose is to help people become available to guidance.
This may happen through meditation, prayer, study, music, silence, discussion, service, sacred reading, contemplation, creativity, movement, dreams, nature, or direct mystical experience. We honor the many ways revelation may appear while also encouraging humility, discernment, responsibility, and grounding.
We do not exist to make people dependent on an institution for spiritual authority. We exist to help people become more capable of recognizing the guidance already within them.
A Purpose Rooted in Forgiveness and Responsibility
We exist to help people release the definitions that keep reality fragmented.
The statutes recognize forgiveness as the surrendering of our definitions of reality and describe it as a key to ascension beyond any reality. They also recognize that the expansion of awareness requires accepting greater degrees of responsibility.
Our purpose is to support this inner transformation.
Forgiveness is not simply about excusing behavior or pretending harm does not matter. Forgiveness is a spiritual release of the mind’s demand to keep difference, judgment, pain, and separation as the final truth. As the mind becomes willing to release rigid definitions, a deeper reality becomes available.
Responsibility, in this context, is not blame. It is the willingness to recognize the power of perception, the role of belief, and the opportunity to participate consciously in awakening.
Our purpose is to help people become more responsible for what they believe, what they perceive, what they practice, what they create, and how they join with others.
A Purpose Rooted in Authenticity
We exist to help people become spiritually honest.
The statutes recognize that it is only through complete authenticity about what we are currently aware of that we discover more of ourselves. This is a vital part of our purpose because no one awakens by pretending.
A person does not need to arrive perfect, certain, purified, enlightened, or fluent in spiritual language. They only need willingness. They may begin with doubt, grief, confusion, inspiration, curiosity, skepticism, devotion, fear, longing, or joy. Each honest starting point can become sacred.
Our purpose is to create spaces where people can tell the truth about where they are and still be welcomed into growth.
A Purpose Rooted in Inclusion
We exist as a sanctuary for all sincere seekers.
Because we recognize “God” as all existence, we cannot authentically limit the Divine to only one group of people. Because we recognize unity as foundational, we cannot make separation our spiritual method. Because we recognize that every person is designed with purpose, we cannot treat anyone as spiritually disposable.
This includes people of every religion, belief, non-belief, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ability, background, and life experience.
Our purpose is not to make everyone identical. Our purpose is to help everyone recognize the Divine Reality that includes them.
Our Organizational Purpose Statement
The purpose of Undefinable and Expansive is to cultivate direct spiritual experience, inclusive community, personal revelation, and conscious alignment with the unity of all existence. As an Omnitheist and non-dual spiritual organization, we exist to help people recognize “God” as the undefinable and all-encompassing Reality within and throughout every being, belief, dimension, relationship, and experience. Through meditation, forgiveness, devotion, study, creativity, service, community, and the living principles of the Forty-Nine Statutes of the Divinely Realized, we support each person in discovering their purpose, expanding their awareness, honoring all sincere paths, and remembering their oneness with All That Is.
In Simpler Words
Our purpose is to help people experience “God” within themselves and all existence.
We exist to help people know their truth directly.
We exist to honor all religions, all beliefs, and all sincere paths.
We exist to support spiritual growth, purpose, learning, and revelation.
We exist to create community where people can belong without abandoning who they are.
We exist to help people move from separation into unity.
We exist to cultivate the willingness to know the Self, recognize the Divine within all life, and live from the expansive reality that includes everyone.
e are a collective, living expression of ancient mystical wisdom. We cultivate the gnostic essence at the heart of every faith—recognized by those willing to fully embrace their tradition and seek personal revelation through their teachers and deities. We understand that no one can experience more than they are ready to understand and retain. Therefore, we choose to purify misunderstanding and release inhibition through forgiveness and meditation, so this mysticism may reveal itself through direct personal experience as it truly is: an ever-present, and all-encompassing awareness of a transparent and illuminated reality.
